Here's a quick roundup of stories you may have missed today and over the holiday weekend.
Stars In The Alley's 2016 Roster Is Here
A free outdoor concert with a slew of Broadway faves? We know how we're spending this summer Friday! As previously reported, An Act of God star Sean Hayes and CBS' Mo Rocca will host 2016's Stars In The Alley on June 3. Come by Shubert Alley at 12:30 p.m. for the rain or shine event, which will feature performances and appearances from Rory O’Malley, Billy Porter, Heidi Blickenstaff, Alfie Boe, Danny Burstein, Carmen Cusack, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, John Gallagher Jr., Heather Headley, James Monroe Iglehart, Chilina Kennedy, Alan Mingo Jr., Jennifer Simard and more.
Kevin Kline Joins Meryl Streep for Public's Annual Gala
Two-time Tony winner Kevin Kline and more haved joined the star-studded lineup tapped for The United States of Shakespeare at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park on June 6. In addition to the previously announced Meryl Streep, Phylicia Rashad and Jimmy Smits, the roster includes F. Murray Abraham, Christine Baranski, Kate Burton, Michael Cerveris, Jeanine Tesori, Lisa Kron, Hamish Linklater, Suzan-Lori Parks and Lily Rabe. Directed by Jeremy McCarter, the Public Theater’s annual gala will feature scenes from Shakespeare’s greatest works and the American poems, songs and stories they inspired.
Broadway.com Remembers Leonard Fischer
Leonard Fischer, who was Broadway.com's Director of Theatre Parties, has died at the age of 81. Lenny’s career in the theatre party/group sales business dates back to the early 1960s, when he began working with Gertrude Fox. Eventually, he became her partner, and over the years their office grew to what became Prestige Theatre Parties and the Preview Circle Theatre Club, which eventually merged with Group Sales Box Office. He will be missed by the entire Broadway.com family.
Bette Midler & Carol Channing Unite
Theater fans were treated to a dose of double Dolly when future Hello, Dolly! headliner Bette Midler shared a photo of herself with original Hello, Dolly! star and Tony winner Carol Channing. We cannot wait for the highly-anticipated revival to hit the Shubert. Performances will begin on March 13, 2017.

P.S. Gypsy begins June 16 at Sharon Playhouse in Connecticut (and we're kind of obsessed with the poster.) Tony winner Karen Ziemba will star as Mama Rose in the production, which runs through July 3. What better reason for a summer road trip?
